Quarry Wire Saw Operator

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Operate and manage the quarrying aspects to blocking out granite and marble from our quarry locations. This will include daily operational maintenance of equipment, operation of wire saw, loader, excavator, and rock truck, managing support staff, and adhering to all company health and safety policies and procedures.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Minimum Education:  No formal education required.

 

Work Experience:

 

We are looking for a minimum of 10 years experience in a lead position of Quarry Operations with equivalent wire saw experience, including adequate knowledge of drilling. The successful candidate will have proficiency in the operation and set up of a wire quarry saw equal to a Micheletti Telestar and possess operating skills in use of a wheel loader, hauler, excavator, and skid steer. Candidate must possess the skills for identifying and grading the quality of the blocks, evaluating the quarry for seams and fractures, and setting up the extraction process in sequence with this analysis.

 

 

Job Duties

Perform daily machine inspections on loader, excavator, and hauler.

Adhere to all company health and safety policies.

Plan daily/weekly cutting schedules based on sales orders.

Operate and maintain the Micheletti Telestar wire saw.

Extract blocks, sort by size, grade and quality of stone.

Schedule duties for assistant.
